The polishing process of stainless steel pipes aims to improve surface smoothness and aesthetics, and there are three common types.
Mechanical polishing uses tools such as polishing wheels to rub the surface of the pipe, first rough polishing to remove defects, and then fine polishing to increase brightness. The effect is significant but the efficiency is low and the labor intensity is high.
Chemical polishing utilizes the selective dissolution of chemical solutions on the surface of pipes, which can handle complex shapes with low cost but poses environmental protection challenges, resulting in average glossiness retention.
Electrolytic polishing uses the pipe as the anode to apply electricity, allowing the surface protrusions to dissolve first. The polishing effect is excellent, the corrosion resistance is strong, and it can be produced automatically. However, the equipment investment and maintenance costs are relatively high.
Each of the three processes has its own advantages and disadvantages, and can be flexibly selected according to actual needs.
